Salon Barcelona 2014
Sirpa’s artwork Julie Andrews and Mona Lisa on the Top of Wonderful Austrian Alps (These are a Few of my Favorite Things) (1993) is presented in the lobby of Kuopio City Theatre between 25th of September 2014 and 6th of January 2015.

The play Helene S and musical The sound of Music are advertised in the lobby. “In the artwork Julie Andrews and Mona Lisa on the Top of the Wonderful Austrian Alps the artist combines two icons of different eras, Mona Lisa and Julie Andrews, in a symphatetic and humoristic way”. Metso Award -prize series continues in 2014
Sirpa Miettinen and Metso Corporation began their cooperation in 2009, and that continues. First Metso Award -prizes were created in 2011. Metso Award is Metso Corporation’s internal prize intended to give credit to projects that contribute new ideas, products or approaches. A sculpture “Tree of knowledge”, challenge trophy – branch of the Tree of Knowledge – and the miniature prizes – sprouts of the Tree of Knowledge – were published in November 10th 2011.
New Gallery in Barcelona
Sirpa’s artwork can be found in Art Nou Mil-lenni Gallery. Sirpa represents Art Nou Mil-lenni Gallery at Salon Barcelona/Espasio 120 Art Fair between 4-10 of October 2014 with three sculptures.
Sirpa is designing a new Metso Award -prize series, which will be launched in the fall 2014.
Sirpa worked in the Arenys de Mar artist’s residence in June and July and participated in “Mitjanit” (Midnight) exhibition in July and August.
The Regional arts council of North Savo gave Sirpa a project grant for organising an exhibition in 2014.
Sirpa and her artwork in Arenys de Mar. Artwork will be presented in LaGalleria, Barcelona.
